He coveyed that his side will build crossing channel (sodetan) about 100 meters long from Sunter River to Tiu Reservoir.

When Sunter River water level is high, he assessed, water can be flowed to Tiu Reservoir first.
It was one strategies to overcome flood that mostly occurred in areas along the banks of Sunter River, such as in Lubang Buaya, Cipinang Melayu, Pondok Bambu, Cipinang Indah, and others.
"Moreover, we also have normalized reservoirs, rivers, micro or macro waterways, and built crossing channel," he added.
On the other hand, East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Santo conveyed, construction of crossing channel that connects Sunter River to Tiu Reservoir begins today.
According to him, this channel will have length about 100 meters with width and depth about 2 meters.
"Later on, we will install it with U-ditch. Our target is to complete the construction within a week," he asserted.
